Canon Aplio i800 – General Information

The Toshiba/Canon Aplio i800 ultrasound machine is designed to offer clinical precision and support high productivity in the clinic or hospital.

The Aplio i800 provides crystal-clear imaging with high resolution and deeper penetration, as well as various expert tools meant to support fast and reliable diagnostics. The machine image quality and versatility makes it possible to deal with a range of patients – from the smallest to the toughest. This is due to the iBeam architecture’s strong processing power.

Image accuracy is increased through the system’s intelligent Dynamic Micro-slice (iDMS) as it enhances details in all depths by sharpening the thickness of the imaging slice.

Further, the transducers for the Canon Aplio i800 have been enhanced. They cover the same bandwidth as two conventional transducers which in turn offers greater sensitivity and resolution both for near and far fields. These transducers come up to 33MHz.

The Canon Aplio i800 additionally uses Superb Micro-vascular Imaging (SMI). This technology expands the range of visible blood flow and clearly shows low-velocity micro-vascular flow. This was not possible with diagnostic ultrasound prior to the Aplio i800.

This machine was designed to fit the user as best as possible. Thus, it is small and light making it incredibly easy to move around your clinic or hospital room. Also, it has an over 36 cm panel height adjustment, a lateral slide, and a fully articulating monitor arm which allows you to adjust the console to fit almost any scanning position.
