Siemens syngo WLAN Settings

Apr 15, 2020 | Tech Tips, General Imaging, Siemens

In this tip, Kevin covers the WLAN settings feature within Siemens syngo software. Need help understanding Siemens syngo software? Consider enrolling in our Intro to Siemens syngo online training course.

Today, I’m going to show you how to check your WLAN (wireless LAN) settings prior to performing any replacement or service work on a Siemens AXIOM or Ysio room that uses a portable detector.

Locating the WLAN Settings

1. Open the Service Platform

  • In the syngo interface, select Tune-Up.

2. Navigate to Component Adjustment

  • Within the Tune-Up section, find and click Detector.
  • It may take a few seconds for the menu to load.

3. Select WLAN Settings

  • You’ll see two options: Logical Attachment and WLAN Settings.
  • Choose WLAN Settings and click Select.

Why It’s Important to Note These Settings

1. Record Your Current Configuration

  • It’s a good practice to take a screenshot or write down your existing WLAN settings (including country code, zone, and channels).
  • These settings can change if you replace or calibrate the detector or docking station, often defaulting to a different country or different frequency channel.

2. Restore Settings Easily

  • Having a record of your original settings lets you quickly restore them in case something changes unexpectedly during service.
  • Remember that channels and standards can vary between countries, so the system’s performance depends on having the correct country of origin selected.
